Lord of the Rings

Buddhika lent me the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and I took it home looking forward to an evening of enchantment. Imagine my utter disappointment when I loaded it onto the DVD player to find a stupid message about a regional error blah blah. Now I’ve got to run back to the dealers, Abans, to get it all sorted out before I can enjoy my movie sigh!

Chills n Thrills

Oh lucky me! Waiting again in rather gloomy weather for the wonderfully woeful 175 bus when along comes my friend on her little bike. Fortunately since I was clad in pants, was able to hop on without the usual hiking up of teeny skirts :) Now the problem was that she had neglected to bring along an extra helmet. So we took all the byroads and little lanes in our quest to evade the eagle eye of any cops.

There was a sharp cold wind accompanying a heavy drizzle when we got home. A quick bath, a hot mug of cocoa and a quick hop into bed soon chased away the chills.

Teeny Skirts and Motorbikes

Oh my…… there was I wearing this teeny little skirt when along comes my friend from the next office on her bike, offering me a lift home. Well, given that our bus route is THE most horrible one in entire Sri Lanka, I opted to accept her kind offer. Thank goodness she was wearing a shalwar. So I borrowed her shawl, draped it in the most ladylike manner across my knees, and soon we were off amidst the diesel fumes and dust on our way home! What a boon a motorbike is in heavy traffic. I was home in double quick time.
